Privacy notice · effective 1 September 2026
Public words. Private account identity.
This notice describes the first release of Compass Community. Do not use the forum for confidential support or document review.
What becomes public
Approved aliases, destination tags, journey stages, titles, post and reply text, experience dates, helpful counts and any accepted official-source link are public. They may be indexed, quoted or shared by visitors.
What stays private
ChatGPT supplies a stable site-specific user identifier and account email to the server after sign-in. The email is used only for identity, moderation access and abuse prevention; it is never placed in public forum output.
Device-local drafts
The question form may store an unfinished draft under an account-scoped browser key for up to seven days. It is cleared after a successful submission or when that account signs out, and is never a submission by itself. Other people using the same device should use separate ChatGPT accounts and browser profiles.
Moderation records
The forum stores submission status, reports, suspension state and a private action log. These records support safety and accountability. They are not used to verify professional registration or immigration status.
Technical security data
Hosting infrastructure may process ordinary request and security information, such as timestamps, request identifiers and network metadata. The forum itself does not publish this information.
Retention approach
Published discussions remain until removed. Pending or rejected contributions and reports should be periodically reviewed and deleted when no longer needed for moderation, safety or an active dispute. Do not post information that requires confidential handling.
